Full course description
Description
G.K. Chesterton argues in “America’s Creed” that the United States is founded not on ethnicity or geography, but on a shared belief in certain principles, especially equality and human dignity. America is unique because it is rooted in a set of ideals, rather than a common ancestry, making it a universal nation open to all who accept those values. This transformative document establishes that all individuals are created equal and endowed with inherent rights. It announced a new nation and established enduring ideals that hold a diverse people together.
