Description

More than 6 million women joined the workforce during the war, and they weren’t all riveters like “Rosie”. Plus, three million served as Red Cross volunteers. Millions worked for the Civilian Defense. Thousands joined the military. Housewives also contributed to the war effort. Find out the many ways women proudly served America during the war.
