Learn the history of our state from a perspective that emphasizes its women. We will begin with prehistoric tribes and trace the story through to the present.This chronological structure allows for the inclusion of many unknown people who made important contributions to Florida.

Instructor Doris Weatherford

Doris Weatherford is an author and historian who has published a dozen books on American women. A political activist, she has volunteered for governmental bodies, including chairing the Florida Women’s Hall of Fame and serving as an HCC trustee.
