Description
Jackie Robinson used baseball as a vehicle in the fight for racial justice while Curt Flood used baseball to fight for economic justice. Robinson started a social revolution by putting on a uniform; Flood finished it by taking his uniform off. Their contributions are both historically and sociologically significant, and they extend far beyond the playing field.
