Description

Dr. DuBois will deliver a lecture on the history of the American Olympic experience, from the origins of the modern Olympic movement in 1896 through the Tokyo Olympics of 2020. The presentation will highlight the ways in which international sport has helped shape American society and culture and, likewise, how the United States and its athletes have used the Olympics to advance U.S. national interests and the politics of U.S. Olympians on the world stage.
