Description
Florida fishing has a rich history, from its rise as a tourist attraction in the late 1800s to the growth of sportfishing clubs and tournaments in the early 20th century. We will trace how Florida's abundant waters and legendary game fish shaped its identity. This virtual course also includes your optional visit to Tampa Bay History Center's exhibit showcasing the state's enduring fish culture - including historic fishing maps by Rube Allyn. Visit before 1/11/2026 and your admission is free.
