Description

The stress of caregiving is a major concern for someone whose loved one has been diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer's. This course will examine the issues, the impact of the diagnosis, and the challenges facing the caregiver. We will also discuss coping strategies for both the patient and caregiver with an emphasis on the caregiver, as well as specific issues typically discussed between the caregiver, loved one, lawyer and financial planner.

Instructor Bill Harris

Bill Harris holds a Master of Science in Political Science and a Teacher Certification from the University of Oregon. He has worked in the financial industry, taught at Yakima Junior College and several OLLIs, and has experience with caregiving.
