The Oldest High-Tech, and Why It Matters

We would expect the earliest folktales to be about family or love. But, at least in Europe, they were about metallurgy. Who were these mysterious metallurgists that left their imprint on popular imagination? This presentation shows how we can use new tech, something like 23andMe-style genetics but with an ancient DNA twist, to solve puzzles about the prehistory of ideas.
