Curious about the many different birds around you? Do you wonder why people travel across the state, the country, and even the world to look at birds? Designed for the beginning or casual birder who wants to learn more, learn what you need to get started. Topics, tools and tips we'll address include choosing binoculars, identification, using field guides, cell phone applications, and online tools. Be warned: birding can be addictive!This zoom class includes a recorded lecture that was presented at the Florida Birding and Nature Festival in October 2023.

Ann Paul, MS Biology, retired from Audubon's Florida's Coastal Islands Sanctuaries after a career in nature conservation. She is a past president of the Florida Ornithological Society and current president of both the Tampa Audubon Society and the Florida Birding and Nature Festival.
