Description
It has been said, "not to see disconnects us from things; not to hear disconnects us from people.” We will discuss the value we get from hearing and understanding what others say, and what happens to our brain and quality of life if we do not hear well, including depression, Alzheimer's Disease, and falls. Our discussion will include whether Medicare policies regarding hearing aids are helping or hindering our quality of life.

Robert C. Keefer, PhD U of Nebraska Medical School, conducted post-doctoral research on cancer, clinical diagnostics and toxicology. He helped pharmaceutical and medical device companies gain FDA approval for marketing therapeutics and diagnostics.
